Recipe Contest

I have been racking my brain to come up with a recipe I haven’t already written up in the newsletter, but nothing I can think of feels inspired. So, what I’d like to do in leu of this month’s recipe is to do a giveaway. To enter, just email me with one of your favorite recipes, along with your name and permission to use your recipe in a future newsletter (with proper credit given, of course). The winner will be chosen from among the readers who emailed me with a recipe, and the prize will be a super-secret gift box with lots of goodies (including books, of course).

  • Roasted Root Vegetables

    Preheat oven 500 degrees
    2 sweet potatoes
    2 turnip roots
    1 rutabaga
    1 large red onion
    1/4 c olive oil
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Red pepper flakes. Optional
    Chop vegetables into 1 in squares. Season with olive oil, salt and peppers. Roast about 15 mins or until the start turning brown on top.
